Dear Radisson Hotel,
I am writing in hopes that management will personally review our situation and help us reach a fair resolution regarding our reservation at Palazzo Gottardo in Lake Como. Dates of May 30-June 3rd.
Over the past week, we experienced an extremely stressful travel ordeal. Two separate flights from the United States to Milan were cancelled at midnight on two different occasions. As a result, we lost six full days of our planned Lake Como vacation while stranded between airports and airport hotels. In fact we are still stranded in London and haven’t made it to Italy.
At the same time, we were desperately trying to reorganize flights, accommodations, and transportation in order to still attend my niece’s wedding in Italy. What had taken six months of careful planning suddenly had to be rebuilt within a matter of hours while we were exhausted, sleep deprived, and under tremendous stress.
Originally, we had a four-night reservation at your hotel booked through Hotels.com booking reference 73452833979467. We fully understood that we were within the non-refundable booking period; however, I asked the hotel if it would simply be possible to move our existing reservation to the end of our trip rather than lose the reservation entirely.
Your staff Simone Monga, advised that this could be accommodated, but that we needed to provide confirmation within less than three hours local time. Unfortunately, because we were still in the United States dealing with overnight flight cancellations and emergency travel arrangements, that deadline was nearly impossible for us to manage.
I communicated that we wished to move the reservation to May 30 through June 2. In my understanding, we were discussing transferring the same four-night stay at the same rate, which I believed had been agreed upon.
In the confusion and exhaustion of the situation, my husband completed payment for the revised reservation directly with the Hotel off of the Hotels.com property and only afterward did we realize that the checkout date reflected only a three-night stay instead of four. The exact checkout date and number of nights had not yet been clearly confirmed in the earlier correspondence, as we were told confirmation would follow afterward. That is when we realized the misunderstanding.
We are now being told that only three nights will be honored instead of the original four-night reservation.
We booked your property in good faith through Hotels.com, trusting the professionalism and reputation associated with a Radisson property. It has been especially discouraging to discover that the same room for the same dates is currently being offered at approximately $1,700 less than the rate we paid.
After everything we have endured simply trying to arrive in Italy and salvage some portion of our vacation, we are feeling exhausted, discouraged, and deeply disappointed by how this situation has been handled.
We are respectfully asking management to reconsider our case and help us arrive at a fair and reasonable resolution — ideally by honoring the original four-night stay as we understood it to be arranged, or by otherwise working with us toward an equitable solution.
We truly hope your management team will take our circumstances into consideration and demonstrate the level of customer care and professionalism we expected when booking with a Radisson property.

First of all, I just wanted to say how much admiration I have for the incredible artists and opportunities your company creates for fans around the world. Music means so much to young people, and the happiness and inspiration your artists bring genuinely creates lifelong memories.
I know you likely receive thousands of messages every day, and I completely understand there are many people who need help far more than I do. I honestly hesitated to even send this, but as a mum, I thought I would take the chance in case there was any possibility of help or advice.
My daughter is turning 11, and her absolute dream is to see KATSEYE in London for her birthday. During the general sale, I actually managed to get tickets into my basket ready to purchase, but the AXS website crashed and removed me from checkout completely. When I rejoined the queue, there were around 57,000 people ahead of me, and sadly I never managed to secure tickets.
Since then, I’ve spent hours every day searching for any possible option, but the only tickets left are resale tickets around £1000, which I simply cannot afford.
I completely understand if nothing can be done, and I’m not expecting anything at all. I just hoped there may possibly be cancellations, released tickets, competitions, guest list opportunities, or any advice your team could offer.
Seeing her experience this concert for her birthday would honestly mean the world to me, and I thought it was worth trying as a last resort in case a miracle could happen.
